Celebrating 40 years with
Inspiration for Suzy’s Cheesecakes came as dessert, while Mark and Suzy Strothmann were on a trip to Napa California. The cheesecake was gourmet in all respects; creamy, semi-sweet chocolate on crushed chocolate wafer crust.
With new inspiration, Suzy created her fantastic desserts for the dinner service at the Strothmann family-owned restaurant-The Boulevard Inn. Suzy’s cheesecakes were so popular customers were ordering whole cakes for carry out.
Suzy’s opened its first bakery and attached shop on Vliet Street in Milwaukee. Mark Strothmann had renovated the entire building for the new business, The Vliet Street location had just one oven, one refrigerator and 250 square feet for baking and sales.

As demand for Suzy’s Desserts increased, the Strothmann’s moved Suzy’s Cheesecakes to St Francis, Wisconsin and built-out a large bakery on Bolivar Ave.
Suzy’s Cheesecakes logo as more products were introduced into the Suzy’s family of desserts as they expanded sales throughout the US and Canada.
Suzy enjoys sharing her love of baking with the next generation.
Suzy’s moves to a 44,200-square-foot facility at in Oak Creek. With over 150 employees and state-of-the-art baking equipment, Suzy’s can meet the high demand for her signature desserts.
