March 28, 2017 / Category: Cheesecake Pairing

When pairing our cheesecake with other foods, drinks and flavors, we always have to take into consideration the boldness of flavor in some of our cakes, as well as the delicateness of others. Spearheaded by the Head Brewer of Milwaukee Brewing Co., Robert Morton, this pairing between their beer and our cheesecake will show you how the subtle flavors of certain beers pair perfectly with specific cheesecakes, as well as showcasing how big, bold beers pair fantastically with decadent cheesecake profiles, striking a rich, masterful balance. So, grab a beer and a slice of cheesecake and let’s dive into these pairings that are straight from Robert of Milwaukee Brewing Company, who was a certified and seasoned chef before he dove into the brewing world.

New York Style Cheesecake & O-Gii Imperial Belgian Wit
This classic New York Style Cheesecake tames this monster of a spiced Belgian Wit from the Milwaukee Brewing Company. The sweet orange peel, coriander, and chamomile in the O-Gii Wit are a perfect complement to the lemon and vanilla cream notes of the cheesecake.

The complex citrus and spice character of this aromatic IPA flawlessly melds with the sweet raspberry cream flavor of this cheesecake. An unexpected power duo of flavor.

 Suzy's Cheesecake Stout

Chocolate Caramel pecan Cheesecake & Sheepshead Stout

Filled Turtle Cheesecake & Hop Freak IPA
This combination of a full bodied hoppy IPA and a sweet caramel filled cheesecake may seem at odds until you try it. The citrus, mango, and mint hop character supported by the toffee like malt foundation pair so well with the Belgian chocolate, salty pecans, and caramel of the cheesecake, you will gain a new appreciation for beer as a dessert. Two very complex products make for a taste explosion.
